A California tribunal has struck down a wage-based selection process for H1B visas. What are the prospects for our emigrants in connection with this decision?

The ruling by Northern District of California Federal Court Judge Jeffrey White overturned a Trump-era order governing the selection of work visa applicants. H-1B depending on the salary level. Visa H-1B – non-immigrant, allowing American companies to attract foreign specialists in areas requiring special knowledge.
A quota of 65,000 visas is allocated annually H-1B , with an additional 20,000 for master's degree holders and above in the US. Previously, the selection of applicants included the submission of applications and a lottery. However, the latest rule changes made at the end of Donald Trump's presidency made selection based on higher salaries, excluding candidates with lower incomes.
This had a positive impact on large IT companies that preferred this method, but created barriers for beginners. America, committed to equal opportunity, must consider that a low starting salary should not be a barrier to career advancement. Judge White's repeal of these rules represents a positive development for the community, as well as support for small and medium-sized businesses.
