On January 14, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the significance of the 'Trump's Route to International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP) project, emphasizing its strategic intention to bridge Central Asia with the European Union, as well as to strengthen ties between Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, Armenia, and Western countries. This newly signed framework from Washington presents a diplomatic milestone, spotlighting Armenia as a central hub for regional dialogue and cooperation. Crucially, Mirzoyan assures Armenia's sovereignty over TRIPP's infrastructure, ensuring the project's operations align with Armenian legislation. Furthermore, the TRIPP initiative relies on enhancing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as fostering political normalization between Armenia and Turkey. The project's success is pegged on the robust institutionalization of these peaceful engagements. Mirzoyan also underlined the unyielding jurisdiction of Armenia over all customs, immigration, and security measures concerning the project. The Washington declaration, signed on August 8 by leaders, including Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the United States, and Azerbaijan's President, has paved the way for a significant document which anticipates the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Process in favor of a more direct peace establishment effort. As the TRIPP project unfolds, it promises to bolster Armenia's strategic position as a transit and communication hub, drawing in foreign investments and fostering regional cooperation. This comprehensive cross-border initiative is designed to advance not only national economic interests but also contribute to international diplomatic stability and development.
