YEREVAN, December 28. In a recent statement, Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, emphasized the potential for aligning interests across various parties in the development of infrastructure projects within the country. Mirzoyan highlighted that these projects should be beneficial not only for Armenia but also for its neighbors and international partners, including the US, EU, Russia, and countries in the Middle East. He stressed that cooperative projects would provide significant advantages for all involved parties, promoting peace and economic growth. "We aim to ensure that all infrastructure and other programs that can be realized in Armenia are primarily advantageous from the perspective of the Republic of Armenia and also profitable for our neighbors and interested parties, whether they be the US, EU, Russia, or Middle Eastern countries," Mirzoyan stated during an interview with Armenian Public Television. Mirzoyan addressed the initial concerns raised by Iran regarding infrastructure developments, clarifying that these concerns have been adequately addressed. Consequently, Yerevan and Tehran now recognize more opportunities rather than unresolved issues regarding infrastructure cooperation. "The infrastructures to be built or rebuilt will create opportunities for Iran; hence, there is no reason for them to oppose these programs," he explained. Discussing Russia's involvement, the Armenian Foreign Minister noted that Russia is actively engaged in infrastructure projects within Armenia, and opportunities are being crafted to align these projects with Russia's interests. "We have heard official remarks from Russia about their readiness to participate," Mirzoyan confirmed, thus highlighting Armenia's commitment to inclusive and beneficial partnerships across the region, fostering robust international collaboration.
