Officers of the Criminal Police Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducting expansive operational and investigative measures and in cooperation with colleagues from the Investigative Committee, today detained four individuals suspected of involvement in a crime committed on December 8 in the parking area adjacent to one of the shopping centers. They will be presented to the Investigative Committee, according to Narek Sargsyan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson. It should be recalled that on December 8, 2025, around 13:30, in the rear parking area of Yerevan's Dalma shopping center, three masked individuals attacked former National Assembly member and public-political figure Mihran Hakobyan on the head and then on the face. Lawyer Ruben Melikyan told Hetq that the sole motive for the attack on Mihran Hakobyan is his public activity; no other motive is seen. Note that Mihran Hakobyan was a member of the National Assembly's sixth convocation. He was elected on April 2, 2017 on the Republican Party's nationwide electoral list, but he did not hold the post for long due to the 2018 political change.
