The process of implementing the Cascade Cultural Hub project is starting. Tigran Avinyan Date: 2025-12-05 19:10:00 Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced that the process of implementing the Cascade Cultural Hub project, which had been in deadlock for decades, is beginning. “Dear residents of Yerevan, Almost a year ago we launched the reconstruction of the Cascade complex’s unfinished section. At that time many frankly doubted that the Cascade process could ever reach completion. Today we are implementing a program that had been in a dead end for decades. The start of the Cascade process is proof that the state, the community, and the private sector can work as a single unit for long-term results. Almost a year later we stand at a point where we can officially announce that the implementation process of the Cascade Cultural Hub project is starting. I would like to thank our government partners, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the partners of GTB Holdings, and the architectural community for all discussions and professional insights. Special thanks to the families of Jim Torosyan and Sargis Gurzadyan for their support, and to Mr. Aslan Mkhitaryan for participation, guidance and constructive involvement. Thanks to Mr. Willmot. Mr. Willmot is not only an architect of international standing but a professional who approaches the city’s history with great respect for the initial idea created by Jim Torosyan and for Yerevan’s unique character. Thanks to all our partners whose work has brought us here today. And it is important to say what this project will bring to Yerevan residents: it will bring new content to urban life through cultural events, public spaces, and it will create an improved environment with restored slopes and landscaped areas. Cascade will become a full-fledged cultural hub,” Avinyan wrote. If you find a typo, you can send it to us by selecting the typo and pressing CTRL+Enter.
