

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. As part of the government's Strategic Tourism Development Program in the Republic for 2026-2030, it is planned to raise the number of tourists visiting the country to 3 million per year, up from 2.2 million in 2024. According to the government's press service, during a discussion with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, it was noted that the program envisages implementing a sequence of steps in the areas of attracting investments, developing infrastructure, ensuring the entry of globally renowned brands into the market, increasing Armenia's international attractiveness, and delivering high-quality services. The Strategic Tourism Development Program for Armenia for 2026-2030 will be submitted to the government for approval. According to ArmStat, the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia in the first nine months of 2025 amounted to 1.73 million, compared with 1.72 million in the same period of 2024, an increase of 0.8%.
