Article 272 concerns taking a bribe by a group of persons in the private sector with prior arrangement, in large amounts, with the aim of infringing a person's rights, freedoms or legitimate interests; this crime is punishable by 2-5 years of imprisonment. Article 277 concerns the abuse of official duties or powers in the private sector, committed by a group with prior agreement and causing particularly large property damage. This crime is punishable by a fine of twenty to forty times the minimum wage, or by 150-250 hours of public works, or by restriction of freedom for up to three years, or by short-term imprisonment of 1-2 months, or by imprisonment up to four years. This was reported by the Investigative Committee, adding that the materials of the case have been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Committee. In response to our inquiry about the progress of the case and the initiation of criminal proceedings, the Anti-Corruption Committee stated that in the Private Sector Anti-Corruption Crimes Investigation Department a 'comprehensive, thorough and objective investigation to establish all the circumstances of the case' is being conducted.
