

2025-11-27 21:06:00 The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has initiated sectoral meetings with taxpayers; the first meeting with representatives of the jewelry sector took place under the leadership of SRC President Eduard Hakobyan. According to a press release from SRC's Information and Public Relations Department, the sectoral meetings series is one of the Committee's new initiatives, focusing on dialogue between the SRC and business entities to discuss tax administration issues in the relevant sector and regulatory questions that require clarification. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Finance and Economy of Armenia, SRC vice presidents, heads of SRC divisions, and representatives of the jewelry sector. Referring to public discussions, the SRC president emphasized the importance of sectoral meetings and partner cooperation in the context of open and transparent discussions. In particular, they addressed the effective implementation of tax administration in the sector, as well as issues related to tax calculation, documentation, and reducing the shadow economy. At the same time, the sector's particular features, internal and external competitive advantages, and regulatory provisions were discussed. During the meeting, sector representatives raised issues that had arisen in the course of their activities, around which active discussions took place. The jewelry sector representatives also presented constructive proposals. In concluding the discussion, the SRC president highlighted the main directions for resolving existing sector issues and noted that the Committee would undertake the relevant work.
