

Armenia's civil society representatives met with Azerbaijani colleagues in Baku. Within the framework of the 'Bridge of Peace' initiative, on November 21–22, 2025, a group of Armenian civil society representatives visited Azerbaijan, according to the Center for Security Policy Research. The Armenian representatives Areg Kochinyan, Boris Navazartyan, Naira Sultanian, Narek Minasyan, and Samvel Meliksetyan met with Azerbaijani colleagues Farhad Mamedov, Rusif Huseynov, Kyamala Mamedova, Ramil Iskandarli, and Fuad Abdullayev. During the meeting, the participants discussed the dynamics of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the role of civil society in promoting dialogue, and the prospects for joint projects. They also touched on current peace-process-related topics that concern the peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia. It was agreed to intensify joint work in the media sphere, to establish direct contacts between expert groups, and to ensure the continued involvement of civil society in the peace process. The parties agreed to continue their working contacts and to plan further visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan within the framework of the 'Bridge of Peace' initiative. As part of the visit, the initiative's members met with Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration. During the meeting, they discussed the steps taken since the Washington meeting to strengthen the peace agenda.
