Early this fall a group of influencers, plastic surgeons, at least one Real Housewife and Andy Cohen piled into an underground jazz club in New York City for an event called “Naturally You.” It was billed as a tell-all, promising to “pull back the curtain” on fillers, the lip- and skin-plumping injectables that have fallen out of favor after years of social-media-fueled popularity. “I’ve seen my fair share of fillers,” said Cohen, who was channeling his persona as the charming but slyly mischievous host. Nodding toward Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley, he went on: “Some great and some that left me questioning things.” Can they make you look weird? Can they make your face swell up? The issue isn’t filler, the doctors onstage with Cohen assured the audience. Rather, it’s a matter of technique, they said.
