YEREVAN, November 18, /ARCA/. Ameriabank, Bank of Georgia JSC and the national payment system Arca have signed a Memorandum of Understanding within the framework of the international PLUS Forum held in Yerevan, according to Ameriabank's press service. The purpose of the memorandum is to establish a framework for cooperation aimed at ensuring interoperability between the ArcaPay instant transfer system and Bank of Georgia. This initiative will enable instant money transfers from Armenia to Georgia and back, increasing the accessibility and speed of payment services. In addition, a host-to-host connection between Arca's processing center and the Georgian Card company is planned, which will enable servicing Arca payment system cards in Georgia. This cooperation has been made possible thanks to the active role of Ameriabank as a settlement bank, which will ensure efficient and secure servicing of the mutual settlement flows of the parties. The initiative aims to ensure interoperability of the payment infrastructures of the two countries and to form a qualitatively new level of cooperation in both card and non-card transactions.
