On November 11, in Copenhagen, a one-on-one meeting between Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen took place. Subsequently, the ministers' discussions continued in an expanded format with the participation of the delegations of both countries, as reported by the MFA's press service. The interlocutors thoroughly discussed the full bilateral agenda between Armenia and Denmark, agreeing to promote the deepening of the partnership through active political dialogue, economic initiatives and other areas of mutual interest. Minister Mirzoyan and Minister Rasmussen discussed practical opportunities to expand cooperation, including strengthening business ties, investments, innovations, renewable energy and other possible concrete programs. Both sides stressed that, despite geographical distance, Armenia and Denmark are close in their commitment to developing democratic principles and allied partnerships. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized Denmark's continued support for Armenia's chosen path of democratic development, thanking Denmark for Armenia's inclusion in the Denmark-initiated "New Democracy Fund" program for 2023–2026. The ministers discussed efforts to deepen the Armenia-EU partnership, taking into account Denmark's current presidency of the EU Council. Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated his Danish counterpart on the successful organization of the European Political Community (EPC) summit, and highly appreciated the Danish partners' willingness to share experience and cooperate in preparing for the upcoming EPC summit to be held in Yerevan. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the active dynamics of cooperation within the Armenia–Nordic–Baltic Eight (NB8) format. The meeting also included discussions on regional issues: within the framework of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, there was a discussion of the possibilities for unblocking transport corridors, the effective implementation of which would also contribute to the expansion of the Europe–Central Asia connectivity network. Ararat Mirzoyan and Lars Løkke Rasmussen signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark. The memorandum emphasizes the importance of further deepening Armenia–Denmark and Armenia–European Union partnerships. The two countries will continue to work toward Armenia's gradual alignment with EU standards, its sovereignty and resilience, and the strengthening of democratic institutions. In parallel with regular political consultations, the two countries will encourage dialogue and cooperation in areas such as the green transition, renewable energy sources, human rights, culture, and other areas of mutual interest.
