The Media Initiatives Center and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia announce Media Literacy Week in Armenia for November 8–15, 2025. Media Literacy Week in Armenia has been held for eight years already, this year under the theme 'Media Literacy and Responsible Digital Citizenship.' The Week will kick off with the Media Literacy Conference, which will take place on November 8 at 10:00 (Holiday Inn, Armavir Hall, address: 2 Amiryan Street). The conference will feature a sequence of panel discussions and workshops, and concurrent sessions on topics of media literacy, the impacts of artificial intelligence, transformations in education, and combating misinformation, with the involvement of local and international experts. Media Literacy Week is an international movement conducted annually in autumn under UNESCO's leadership, with the aim of drawing greater attention to the important issues of understanding, analyzing, and using the media wisely and effectively. The conference is for teachers, educators, students, media professionals, and the broad public interested in media literacy. Media Literacy Week is conducted within the framework of the 'Young People in Action: Promoting Youth Empowerment and Leadership in Armenia' program. It is an initiative funded by the European Union and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, implemented in cooperation with World Vision Armenia, the Media Initiatives Center, and Gyumri Center for Youth Initiatives.
