Wan Xiaohong — to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee 16-09-2025 11:41:58 | Armenia | Press Release The Chairman of the Republic of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, Artur Poghosyan, during an official visit to the People’s Republic of China, met with the Minister of Public Security Wan Xiaohong. The Armenian ambassador to China, Vahe Gevorgyan, also attended the meeting, according to the Armenian Investigative Committee. Poghosyan highly valued the role of the 2025 Global Public Security Cooperation Conference as a global platform for cooperation among law enforcement agencies and thanked for the invitation to participate and for the warm reception. The PRC Minister of Public Security emphasized the Armenian Investigative Committee’s willingness to cooperate, noting that the Armenian–Chinese strategic partnership is based on friendship, mutual respect, and trust, spanning various areas, including public security and cooperation between law enforcement bodies. In his remarks, the Minister stressed the recent visits by Armenian high-ranking officials to China and noted that the Chinese side is ready to implement important agreements with Armenia and to create channels of cooperation in the law enforcement and security sectors. During the meeting, the sides discussed cross-border crimes — in particular the fight against illegal drug trafficking — and exchanged ideas on enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement in cybercrime and high-technology sectors, uniting efforts to ensure the secure advancement of joint projects, and deepening cooperation in investigators’ training to spur the ongoing development of bilateral relations from a new starting point. At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee and the Public Security Minister agreed to strengthen institutional ties and expand practical cooperation between the Armenian and Chinese law enforcement bodies.
