U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not inform him in advance about the attack carried out by Israel on Qatar last week, Reuters reports. Trump's comment came after Axios reported that Netanyahu had informed the U.S. president of the strike some time earlier. The Trump administration said they were informed only when the missiles were already in the air, which did not give Trump the opportunity to oppose the strike. Last week Israel carried out airstrikes on a building in the Qatari capital where Palestinian Hamas political leaders were meeting, killing five of them. In Doha, the latest U.S. proposal for a Gaza ceasefire was under discussion. Also killed was a representative of Qatar's security forces. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attack was fully justified, and several countries condemned Israel's strikes.
