Jeremy Ray Taylor Reveals What Surprised Him the Most Working with Josh Duhamel on “London Calling” (Exclusive)

by Lilit Oct. 12, 2025

Jeremy Ray Taylor looked up to his London Calling costar Josh Duhamel during filming. The Goosebumps actor, 22, revealed to PEOPLE at the Sept. 15 premiere of their new film what surprised him most about working with Duhamel and whether the Off the Grid actor, 52, taught him anything behind the scenes. "I think it's just learning how a seasoned actor like him does his job," Taylor shared. "And it was incredible watching him, Aiden Gillen and Rick Hoffman, all those people do what they do." "They've been in the industry longer than I've been alive," he continued. "So, I've got to respect their work ethic. And, you know, what they've done for the industry." While Taylor may have learned a thing or two from watching Duhamel behind the scenes, he also revealed that he taught the Shotgun Wedding star a few things as well. In the film, Duhamel’s character Tommy, teaches him how to drive manual, but Taylor said in reality their roles were reversed. "... It was me teaching him how to teach me how to drive manual," Taylor said. "So the car that we actually filmed in was not a manual — it was an automatic. So we had to make it [look manual]." He also revealed what it was like getting to film alongside Duhamel — who was someone he had watched on screen for years prior to them starring together — and noted that the experience was "absolutely incredible." "I grew up with Transformers, so obviously [I was] a huge fan of him. It's kind of a bucket list item. It's absolutely incredible," he explained. "All the chemistry that you're seeing on screen is real. And people keep asking me, like, what we did to prepare for that? Nothing like Josh is just a great guy. It's just worked out," he added. The actor who rose to fame as Ben Hanscom in the 2017 adaptation of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps novels also told PEOPLE whether he would return to the world again after starring in 2018’s Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. "Yes, definitely. I would love to," Taylor said. "If Goosebumps arose, I would absolutely be there." "Same with an IT sequel," he added. "I've always loved the projects that I've been involved with."
