The State Environmental and Subsoil Inspectorate reports that the person who colored the Shaki Waterfall has been identified. As a result of joint operational measures undertaken by the Syunik regional division of the State Inspectorate for Environment and Subsoil and the Sisian Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it has been established that on October 5 this year, a resident of the town of Sisian, A.O., during an event involving a child at the Shaki Waterfall, used a dye considered a food additive to color the waterfall. Within the framework of the initiated administrative proceedings, water samples have been taken for laboratory analysis. In the event of changes in water quality, damages to water resources will be calculated. The citizen A.O. has been subjected to administrative liability for violating the regime of a specially protected natural area, reports the inspectorate.
