As the document is not finalized, we cannot publicize the details. But the main idea is the opening of the roads corresponding to the Crossroads of Peace. Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan stated this while speaking with reporters at the National Assembly Tuesday. He noted the aforesaid in connection with the remark that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated recently that proposals were made to the Azerbaijani side regarding the unblocking of regional communications, including simplified procedures, and to the question what other proposals have been made and whether the matter of delegating the respective monitoring to a security company was among them. "There are no unusual elements here, and it was about maximum opening of communications. The main thing is that it excludes third-party monitoring—security or otherwise—and preserves Armenia's sovereignty and total monitoring over these channels," said the deputy FM. To the question as to what is new in the negotiations with Azerbaijan, Hovhannisyan replied: "There have been very intensive meetings in recent times, but for now I cannot talk about the results. But you may have noticed that it was unprecedentedly active in terms of meetings and contacts." He added that the last package of proposals has been sent to Azerbaijan, and they are waiting for Baku’s response.
