by Lilit Sept. 17, 2024

Between January and June 2024, about 780 calls and visits to the ICRC offices in Yerevan and Goris were registered in connection with the separation of families as a result of the escalation of the conflict. A statement released by the ICRC said.“Sixty-one families have approached us to find out the fate of their missing relatives and have submitted search requests. 275 verbal, video and written communications were exchanged between persons deprived of their liberty in connection with the conflict and their families through the Red Cross. In addition, the ICRC periodically visits the detainees to learn about the conditions of their detention and their treatment,” the statement said.
