Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday had a private conversation in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, which was followed by their extended meeting, the Armenian PM's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. Kobakhidze welcomed the official visit of the Armenian premier, and emphasized the importance of consistent development of strategic relations between the two countries in all domains. Also, the premier of Georgia attached importance to trade and economic cooperation, expansion of business ties, and development of infrastructure with Armenia. In turn, Pashinyan thanked for the warm hospitality, and noted that the intensive nature of mutual high-level visits testifies to the interest of the governments of the two countries to expand and strengthen their multilateral cooperation. Also, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government is interested in strategic cooperation with friendly Georgia and underscored the implementation of joint projects in economy, energy, tourism, education, culture, and several other domains. In addition, the parties expressed readiness to continue discussions on joint infrastructure development projects, which will also contribute to the expansion of regional cooperation. PM Pashinyan conveyed details to his Georgian counterpart regarding the discussions on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as their border delimitation process. Irakli Kobakhidze welcomed the steps towards peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in favor of establishing and strengthening peace and stability in the region. Also, the Georgian premier once again expressed his country's readiness to contribute to the normalization of relations between its two neighboring countries.
