During US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s visit to China, the parties discussed the upcoming contacts between the leaders of the two countries, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a briefing. "During the strategic dialogue, the parties discussed the new phase of interaction between the two heads of state in the near future," informed the Chinese MFA spox. Lin, however, did not comment on the possibility of a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden before the US presidential election slated for November.
