Sheikh Hasina, the now former prime minister of Bangladesh, will not seek asylum in other countries and will return to her homeland when the interim government decides to hold elections in the country, her son Sajeeb Wazed said, reports The Times of India. According to him, his mother has no intention to ask for political asylum. She is now in India. She will return to Bangladesh as soon as the interim government decides to hold elections in the country, the politician's son said. Also, he thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for saving his mother's life in such a short time. Sheikh Hasina resigned and left Bangladesh on Monday. The same day she flew to India. As reported by the Indian edition of The Free Press Journal, the now former PM of Bangladesh requested asylum from the UK. But due to the lack of response from the British authorities, she considered the options of asylum in Belarus, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Finland.
