Several flights eventually successfully land in Yerevan

by Lilit June 26, 2024

Last night, many employees of travel agencies, numerous people, and members of the media spent hours following the Flightradar website. The reason was that the Vienna-Yerevan, Antalya-Yerevan, Rome-Yerevan, Sochi-Yerevan, and Riga-Yerevan flights could not land at Zvartnots International Airport of Armenia’s capital, Yerevan. And the plane conducting the Sochi-Yerevan flight landed in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. But eventually, all these flights managed to land successfully in Yerevan. Zvartnots airport has not yet released an official statement about the reasons, but it is assumed that the reason was the adverse weather conditions in Yerevan.
