News - Armenia Police investigator: Karabakh president's car was seized as part of criminal proceedings

The special police forces, which broke the gate of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) representative office in Armenia and took away the service car of Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan, were in the building of the representative office. Their faces were covered. Later, they came out of the aforesaid building and left. A police investigator told reporters that this car was taken away within the framework of criminal proceedings, the rest is an investigative secret, and he cannot say why this vehicle was taken away. "It is a confiscated car, we are impounding it in order to carry out a corresponding investigative operation. The investigative body decides whether a court decision is necessary or not for that. Our actions are completely legal," said the police investigator. As reported earlier, back on June 7, police patrol officers had attempted to break the gate of the Artsakh representative office in Armenia in order to confiscate the car serving Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan; this was reported by Shahramanyan's lawyer. Investigators from the Investigative Committee of Armenia also were at the Artsakh representative office, and they had called a special towing service to tow away this vehicle serving Shahramanyan.
