Russia does not refuse contacts with Armenia in the technico-military sector. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this during Wednesday’s weekly press briefing—and in connection with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin’s statement and the reports that Russia may refuse negotiations with Armenia on arms supply. Also, Zakharova called on to ask the relevant departments regarding the delivery of military products. "Deliveries of [Russian] military products to foreign countries are carried out taking into account the needs of a special military operation, as the leadership of the Russian Federation has repeatedly said. Existing restrictions on certain types of weapons and military equipment apply not only to Armenia, but also to technico-military cooperation with our other partners. As for the contacts with Armenia in the technico-military sector, we do not refuse them, they proceed on a regular basis, we have not seen any complaints from that side," Russian MFA spox said. Earlier, Russian deputy FM Galuzin had stated that Armenia’s transition under the "umbrella" of the US and NATO will make it impossible to maintain the shared defense area with Russia and within the framework of the CSTO.
