Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that today's talks with North Korean President Kim Jong Un will be productive, TASS reports. "I am sure that our negotiations today will be effective," Putin said at the beginning of the negotiations Wednesday. He emphasized that the heads of the governments and relevant departments of the two countries are actively working towards the implementation of the agreements reached during Kim Jong Un’s visits to Russia in 2019 and 2023. Putin added that in November 2023, a full-format meeting of the Russian-North Korean intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation was held in Pyongyang, and in March 2024, a meeting of the co-chairs of the intergovernmental commission was held in Moscow.
