Pro-Palestinian activists painted on statues and buildings near the White House in Washington, reports The Washington Post. On June 8, there was graffiti on statues and buildings near the White House during a demonstration in support of a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. They were subjected to acts of vandalism. The total damage still needs to be assessed, but a part of the graffiti has already been cleaned. That day, several hundred pro-Palestinian protesters lined the White House and the adjacent Treasury Department building, holding symbolic red lilies in support of an end to the Israeli military operation in Gaza. Several thousand more people participated in the rally in Lafayette Square across from the White House.
