Russia has made a demarche against Azerbaijan in connection with Baku's statement about elections in four regions of Russia. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, announced this at Wednesday ministry press briefing, RIA Novosti reports. "A demarche directed to the Azerbaijani side has been carried out. We [i.e. Russia] have said everything about it," Zakharova said. "We assume that Baku should treat the matter of the territorial integrity of our country with the same respect that our partners expect from us when it comes to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
