As a BCBA, you will play a crucial role in creating and leading behavior intervention programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other behavioral challenges. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, crafting and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and analyzing data to track progress. You will also provide vital support and training to clients, their families, and our staff to foster positive behavioral changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed behavioral assessments (e.g., Functional Behavior Assessments, preference assessments) to identify challenging behaviors and devise suitable interventions.
- Create personalized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) informed by assessment findings.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress through meticulous data collection and analysis.
- Offer direct supervision and guidance to behavior technicians, ensuring the accurate implementation of intervention plans.
- Work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., teachers, therapists) to guarantee a consistent approach across all settings.
- Educate and train parents, staff, and caregivers on the principles of ABA and effective intervention techniques.
- Maintain thorough and current client records, including treatment plans and progress reports.
- Keep abreast of the latest ABA field developments and fulfill ongoing professional development and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Proven experience in implementing ABA interventions, particularly with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of behavioral principles and intervention strategies.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging with clients, their families, and professionals.
